It is on a flat fast course for those chasing fast times and on closed roads for added safety.

Organised by Tullamore Harriers AC this race is suited to elite, club or runners taking on their 1st 5k.  While part of the Offaly race series, we welcome athletes from all counties to compete.

Tullamore Harriers 5k Road Race - Round 1 of the Healthy Offaly 5k Road Race series 2026*

Below is some information to help you. Please pass to any friends who may also be
competing. Best of luck everyone and hopefully we will see a nice crowd in Tullamore on Sunday morning .

*What time does the race start?*
The race will start at 10 am sharp with runners escorted to the start line (just outside the stadium grounds) at 09.45am.
*Where does the race start and finish?*
The race starts on Charleville Road, 300m from the front gate (town side) of Tullamore Harriers club grounds -Eircode: R35 CK22, and finishes in the Tullamore Harriers stadium with a lap of the track.. From the start line, runners head straight out along Charleville Road before turning left just
past the Fingerboard Filling Station onto Ballard Lane. The route follows a looped section, bringing participants back onto the Charleville Road. Athletes then turn right into the front gates of Tullamore Harriers Club Grounds and complete the race with one lap of the stadium track.
*Where do I collect my race number?*
Race numbers can be collected at registration in the Harriers clubhouse on the morning of the race from 8.30 am.
Yes, registration opens at 8.30am on Sunday morning. - but you can still register online until 9.30am and will just need to pick up a race bib. Registration on the day is €20 for Seniors and €10 for Juniors(16 - 19 years)

**For Offaly club members, please save your race number and use it at each race in the series. This will prevent delays having to pick up a new race number at each race. A charge of €2.30 will be charged for replacement**
*Where can I park?*
There will be ample free parking available on the grounds of the Tullamore Harriers Athletics Club. To facilitate an efficient car parking system, please enter via Charleville Road and exit via the back gate (Spollanstown Road).
*Will the roads be closed?*
There will be road closures along the route that provide huge safety and comfort for our athletes, but please follow the instructions of the Gardai and race marshals and be mindful that safety is paramount for all involved.
*Will the course be marked?*
The race route will be clearly marked and marshalled along the way, and there will be markers at each kilometre.
*Are there toilets & showers available?*
Yes, there are toilets, changing rooms, and showers available on-site at Harriers Stadium.
*What prizes will be awarded?*
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
1st €100; 2nd €70; 3rd €50 – Male and Female
1st O40 - €50; 1st O45 - €50: 1st O50 - €50; 1st O60 - €50:, 1st O70 - €50.
1st Junior €30 (Male & Female).
*When and where will the presentations take place?*
The prize giving will take place immediately after the race in the stadium green area beside the finish line. If you are eligible for a prize, please stay in the stadium after the race.
When will the results be available?*

As the race is chip-timed, your result will be available straight away, and full results will be available online at popupraces, Results will also be found on the Tullamore Harriers Facebook page,
